A quick post to pass along some updates
I haven’t been as active on the blog lately as I would like. It’s been a busy winter and early spring but hope to start posting more regularly here soon!
There have been a few sales made in the online shop which I’m grateful for. One item got lost in the mail, apparently, which stinks. Otherwise going OK.
I’ve been thinking of possible topics:
- My experience with Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA). I went through RCIA in 2004/2005. I think about it from time to time, what I learned and what I didn’t.
- An updated story about Black Elk. Had been praying to him for the healing of a family member who was very ill (basically to the point of starting funeral arrangements) and he is now back home. I can’t know for sure if it was Black Elk’s intercession but the outcome is pretty amazing.
- Garden update. Last year’s vegetable garden was not a priority for several reasons. Making a good start this year though! Thinking of starting the garden/homesteading posts again. Not sure if this is related but I got a home weather station to monitor, well, weather to include wind, temps and rainfall. Probably something only of interest to me.
I have a few even less developed ideas for topics that I’m still pondering.
In other news
In other news, Lent continues. I haven’t given up anything, per se, and have instead really tried to focus on spiritual development and the development of virtuous habits. I’ve been trying to really pause in every moment and direct my thoughts towards Jesus and examine my motives, adjust my behavior when needed and try to remove all of those vices and habits that pull me away from being Christ centered.
It’s going OK, generally, but it’s a work in progress. I’ve replaced Instagram with focusing on learning Spanish in Duo. I do find myself pausing and being more deliberate about my choices more which I think is good. It’s a slow but steady race.
I think that’s it for now. Thank you for reading!
